Version 28: Seasons of Love

Used: October 17, 2004 - Present

How: In continuing to experiment with layout techniques, this layout is my first extreme horizontal one. It's simple, but definitely a layout for autumn. Unlike past layouts, there is only one image of the couple - both from separate photo shoots, with some leaves from PSP. The fonts used are Monika and 04b_03.

Version 27: The Way

Used: August 24, 2004 - October 17, 2004

How: I've really gotten into playing around with the opacity of my layers, and this is another layout that reflects that. I've taken separate images of JM and SMG and a few screen caps and manipulations and each one has different opacities, the brightest one with the least opacity so it stands out. I wanted cool colors again and have never had a purple layout before - fun! The title comes from a song by 98 Degrees, "The Way You Do."

Version 26: The Reason

Used: July 7, 2004 - August 25, 2004

How: I've been wanting to have a layout based on this song by Hoobastank for a very long time - I absolutely love this song. I created a basic manip from some of the most recent photos of JM and SMG and put them together over top of a collage of past events that have brought the two to where they are today. Lyrics are at the top, bottom, and center from "The Reason" by Hoobastank.

Version 25: Summer fun!

Used: June 1, 2004 - July 7, 2004

How: I've always wanted to have a layout with photographs like I've seen so many others do. So, to celebrate the start of summer, end of school, and all of that good stuff, I created a layout with photos and an image of the couple (manipulated from a PacSun ad) in summer gear. The layout has bright colors in order to get across my summer theme.

Version 24: Viewer's Choice III

Used: March 31, 2004 - June 1, 2004

How: This was the third time I held a viewer's choice round, where my visitors get to pick the next layout. This one, "Love Soon" won by a landslide, and it was our best round yet!

Version 23: Best of Times...Worst of Times

Used: March 2, 2004 - March 31, 2004

How: The title came from the famous sentence, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times" from Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities. I think this was a great sentence to use for Spike and Buffy's relationship and how it evolved over the years. Screen caps highlight the best Spuffy moments and are scattered around, showing both the best and worst times for the couple. Then the two manipulations in the center are created by me - the one on the left is originally from a fashion spread in a magazine, and the other created by myself. The font used is If.

Version 22: Love Soon

Used: January 31, 2004 - March 2, 2004

How: After I got over my initial reluctance and slight fear of changing all of the colors and style around, I really started to like this layout, and I think the final product turned out well. The image was a combination of screen caps from season 5, 6, and 7, and a manipulation of SMG from the SNL images and James from one of his new photo shoots. It's a very light, pale, and smooth layout, contrasting the harsh, cool colors I prefer to use. Fonts used were Carpenter ICG and Micro, and the lyrics and version name come from a song by John Mayer, "Love Soon." I thought the lyrics were appropriate and could describe how Spike was thinking...plus, I love the song.

Version 21: If Only

Used: December 28, 2003 - January 31, 2004

How: This was another iframe layout combining a manipulation of SMG and FP Jr. (now James) and a combo of seperate JM and SMG pictures, the one in the middle combined together. The version title comes from the song by The Ataris, "Looking Back on Today." The fonts used are Scriptina and Branching Mouse Becker.

Version 20: Untitled

Used: November 10, 2003 - December 28, 2003

How: Taking the site back to a more neutral, darker toned scheme, this layout was made by a combination of two manips I made. One is taking a season 5 SMG and season 6 JM shot, and the other is from Angel's 5th season for JM and season 4 SMG. Once again, this is used by iframes and layers. The font used is Ebola and Micro.

Version 19: Pure Elegance

Used: September 18, 2003 - November 10, 2003

How: I love this layout...I simply love it. It's bright and happy. I took an image from the new James layout and the newest SMG picture from the UK Glamour, and then just a couple pictures of them individually that I really liked, and meshed them all together. Hopefully I achieved a look of a manipulation and then happy pictures of the couple. It was used using Iframes and the navigation was a floating layer...the first time I've ever used them. Fonts used were Carpenter ICG and Pavane.

Version 18: Viewer's Choice III: Touch of Green

Used: August 10, 2003 - September 18, 2003

How: This was the third time I've decided to hold a viewer's choice round and Touch of Green won, which personally, was the layout I was hoping would win. I changed the layout around a bit to make it fit for iframes and the new section in the navigation bar, but overall, I like how this one turned out. The fonts used are Violation and Micro.

Version 17.5: Final Moment

Used: June 28, 2003 - August 10, 2003

How: This was my first layout ever using iframes. I knew I wanted to switch over to iframes so everyone could navigate the archives easier while I could still make big graphics, so this is what I came up with. I call it 17.5 because it's the same images, just in a different way. Fonts used are BlackJack and Hannibal.

Version 17.0: Final Moments

Used: May 28, 2003 - Present

How: Probably my favorite layout that is this style (I know I say that every new layout...but this one really clicked the minute I looked at the final product.) It's a collage of the final moments between Buffy and Spike from "Touched," "End of Days," and "Chosen." The manipulation is just something to have on the side, but it's one that I really liked (I love the photos from SMG's shoot) and the navigation was done through the quotes at the top. Fonts used are Scriptina, Whisperwrite, and Micro.

Version 16.0: To Every Beginning, There Is an End

Used: April 15, 2003 - May 28, 2003

How: This is another one of those collages of all the moments Buffy and Spike have shared. I loved this one...tried to pick all of their most defining moments over the course of the show's history. And the image on the left is a manipulation I've used before...I thought it could represent the future of the couple. I tinted everything shades of purple, green, and blue. The fonts used were violation and DearJoe

Version 15.0: True Blue

Used: March 8, 2003 - April 15, 2003

How: This was created by taking a lot of my older, already seen manipulations and combining them all together. Also, this is the first time I've used brushes to get the look underneath the text. I tinted everything blue/navy/green to get that look. The font used is HansHand.
